About the teachers

Peter Nobes Alexander Technique teacherPeter Nobes qualified as a teacher of the Alexander Technique in 1993. He originally started having lessons to improve his co-ordination but soon found the benefits were as much mental as physical. After years of teaching people with RSI and other work-related problems Peter became interested in how we sit at workstsations, and gained a qualification in Ergonomics from the European Centre for Health and Medical Science. He founded the South Bank Alexander Centre in 2001.


Glynn MacDonald Alexander Technique teacherGlynn MacDonald trained in the Alexander Technique at the Constructive Teaching Centre in 1972. She has taught at performance schools and theatres around the world including LAMDA and the Central School of Speech and Drama. She is currently Master of Movement at Shakespeare's Globe, and works with Globe Education to provide sessions for undergraduates and continuing professional development for teachers. Glynn has written two books on the Alexander Technique.


Matt Gothill Alexander Technique teacherMatt Gothill trained as an Alexander teacher in Paris and London 1991-5, having previously qualified in Medicine in 1983. He currently works as a freelance inner-city GP and is training in Craniosacral Therapy. He has found his Alexander training invaluable in diverse and demanding contexts, both in life and work, and aims to provide teaching which is down-to-earth, challenging, respectful and fun.
